John George Farms has been a staple in the Dartmouth community for generations and has added a new an ice cream stand to its lineage.
The newly constructed building - John George Farms Ice Cream Parlor - features double outdoor pavilions overlooking the farm, and is adjacent to the farm stand (buy some fresh fruits, vegetables or plants while you are there) and offers everything from veggie burgers to foot long chili dogs.
Frosty treats include gourmet flavored ice cream like coconut almond joy and espresso fudge brownie, simple vanilla and old fashioned ice cream sodas.
Enjoy the sun on one of the colorful Adirondack chairs or wooden swing out front, or relax in the shade (or out of the weather on rainy days) on one of the many tables under the two pavilions overlooking the farm. Plenty of parking is available, enter on Slocum Road just south of the Allen Street intersection in Dartmouth.
