The SouthCoast offers a variety of activities and attractions, from museums to beaches and family-oriented activities. Whether you are on vacation in the area, or a local looking for something fun to do, the SouthCoast region is not short on activities.

New Englanders are lucky to enjoy the variety and change of seasons. In the fall, SouthCoast is treated to changes in the leaves and beautiful fall foliage. Taking a drive to see the striking colors of the leaves, stopping at a local farm to pick apples, or visiting a farmstand to enjoy fresh fall squash is a great way to spend an afternoon.

Beaches are a hot spot in summer and visitors can often enjoy the sand and surf well into September. Activities such as hiking, kayaking, fishing and exploring the area are all fun ways to spend leisure time.

Biking trails throughout SouthCoast connect communities, landmarks and attractions that can be enjoyed from the beginning of spring until the end of fall. Attractions such as the Cliff Walk in Newport, Colt State Park in Bristol and Battleship Cove in Fall River are all great places to visit in the spring, summer and fall. In winter, SouthCoast also boasts some of the best ice skating and sledding areas in the region. Don't forget about the historical museums and local theaters the SouthCoast has to offer year round.

Whether your idea of amusement is an activity filled day, a quiet ride by the seashore or spent exploring local history, the SouthCoast has plenty of options.
