Ned's Point Lighthouse is located at the entrance of Mattapoisett Harbor on Ned's Point Road. The light was built in 1838 at a cost of $4500.00. The stone from which it was built was all found nearby. There are 32 granite steps that lead to the historic beacon that still operates today. The lighthouse was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.
