Built in 1928 as a multi-use theater, The Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) holds over 3000 seats and hosts touring Broadway shows, concerts, plays, films and independent shows.
Providence Performing Arts Center is a multi-use theater located in Providence. In 1999, PPAC was extensively remodeled and restored to its original 1928 grandeur. Between 1972 and 1975 the building was known as the Palace Concert Theater, which was used extensively for rock concerts. PPAC now anchors the Providence arts and entertainment districts. PPAC holds over 3000 seats and hosts touring Broadway shows, concerts, plays, films and independent shows.
