Taunton Public Library is the library that serves the community of Taunton. It was built in 1903 from a gift of $70,000 from industrialist and philanthropist, Andrew Carnegie. The Friends of the Taunton Public Library is a community organized group who help sponsor many of the extra events that makes the library special. They offer memberships, support book sales and other fundraisers to help the library promote their programs.
