Westport Town Farm is a 40-acre open space preserve and historic farm complex on the East Branch of the Westport River. The property was once the town's poor farm and local infirmary.
The property boasts a centuries-old farmhouse and stone-wall enclosed pastures. The former croplands extend down to a quarter mile of Westport River frontage.
Visitors to the Town Farm can walk the one-mile trail from the barnyard along a farm trail, lending to a beautiful view of the river, and passing a 10-acre hay field.
In addition to the hiking trails, the Town Farm offers an antique farmhouse with a dairy barn and working farmland. The property is open to picnics and cross-country skiing in winter.
